The Accentum Plus builds on the momentum (sorry!) of the Momentum 4, but at a more affordable price. It’s a step up from the Accentum Wireless and includes a carrying case that its little brother lacks.
Accentum Plus also has a touch panel on the ear cups, whereas Accentum Wireless only has physical buttons. We are also promised the same sound quality, noise cancellation and comfort as Sennheiser’s top-of-the-line Momentum model.
The battery life of the Accentum Plus, like its little brother, is claimed to be a whopping 50 hours with noise cancellation enabled. And after 10 minutes of charging from a discharged state, you get up to five hours of playtime. You can even listen while the headphones are charging.

Better sound with aptX Adaptive
The Accentum Plus also features the aptX Adaptive audio codec, which also has built-in aptX HD audio quality. No mention of Snapdragon Sound or aptX Lossless, which would surely be announced if that were the case.
We are promised dynamic and detailed sound with the 37 mm drivers, and the sound can be partially customised to the user’s preferences with Sennheiser’s Sound Personalisation mode. This is done in the mobile app.
Angled drivers
What’s not mentioned in the press release, but what we know – because we’ve already had the Accentum Plus for testing – is that the drivers are angled inwards to give a more natural sound. Accentum Wireless, on the other hand, has flat drivers, so we expect the sound to be different between the two.
