High-End 2022 is like most high-end fairs, full of remarkable products you hardly see anywhere else. This one, however, you can soon buy and put in your living room. The Pro-Ject Metallica Turntable is perfect for Metallica fans, of course, but it is also compatible with vinyl records from other artists.
The player has the Metallica symbol clearly visible, placed under a belt-driven glass platter, and comes with a black Pick it S2 C pickup.
The Pro-Ject X1 B and X2 B, we’ve written about before, but not this one:
Signature 12.2 it’s called, and for now this is just a design concept, but if we know Pro-Ject right, it may soon find its way to a select hi-vi store near you. The turntable is as you see, belt driven, and has a new arm we haven’t seen before, and a massive plinth where mass looks to be the supporting element (sic) for the massive platter on top.
This one is called RPM 12 and is also a design concept, with three arms and a plinth hidden under the plate. There is quite a bit of Micro Seiko about this one, we think. And that’s a good thing.
The last turntable here is the X8, which we’ve also written about before, but not seen live until now. It’s available in black, white, or walnut veneer, and has an Ortofon Quintet Blue ready mounted.
