The company Ring broke through as a start-up with an intelligent bell. Since then, the company, which was acquired by Amazon just over two years ago, has expanded its product catalog with both surveillance cameras , alarm systems and more video ring bells .
But Ring has also been the subject of some criticism when it emerged last year that the company had allegedly given employees access to customers’ private surveillance videos.
You may just need to keep that in mind if you are considering investing in the new Ring Always Home Cam that will hit the market next year.
Autonomous drone
With the new product, you can safely say that Ring has thought about monitoring the home a step further. The new Always Home Cam is simply a flying drone with a built-in surveillance camera that autonomously patrols around the home.
The camera drone cannot be controlled remotely, but flies around the home along a route that is manually determined by the user. The product also works with Ring Alarm so the camera can check what happens if a sensor triggers an alarm.
When the camera is not in use, it is in a dock where the batteries are charged and not recorded.
Ring Always Home Cam will be on the market in 2021.
