We know Steinway Lyngdorf as purveyors of audio equipment in the most exclusive class. The kind where asking the price is imprudent – and where you leave the practicalities of installation to your interior consultant.
But now they’ve made a soundbar.
But not just any other soundbar. The Steinway & Sons Model S Soundbar supposedly redefines the performance of a soundbar. The press release promises extraordinary clarity, outstanding musicality and exceptionally powerful bass. And, of course, the same quality craftsmanship we know from the world’s most recognised piano manufacturer, Steinway & Sons.
According to the manufacturer, the Model S Soundbar is the world’s largest and most powerful soundbar. It houses two 10’ long-throw woofers, three midrange drivers and three AMT tweeters. It’s all powered by four digital amplifiers totalling 1,600 watts of power. The front and back panels are made of solid aluminium on an MDF frame.
The new version of the Model C speaker is sleeker than its predecessor, which had a built-in subwoofer.
Every Model S Soundbar is assembled and finished by hand in Skive, Denmark and built to the same quality standards as a Steinway & Sons piano. And if piano black isn’t your style, other lacquers and finishes are available on request.
Availability
The new Steinway & Sons Model S Soundbar will be available at the end of Q3 2024. Price is not something to be spoken about. And it also depends on the choice of stereo or surround processor.
The Steinway & Sons Model S Soundbar has just premiered. But we got a sneak peek of it at the ISE 2024 show below:
