Many manufacturers are fighting to make the best noise-canceling wireless headphones. So far, Sony and Bose have succeeded well, but so have Beyerdynamic, B&O and not least Apple. However, in a higher price range.

But Technics also want to get involved, and they are launching the EAH-A800 for the time being without a suggested retail price. We will find out when the Technics EAH-A800 approaches sales during February.

So far, we know that Technics themselves believe that they have class-leading noise reduction – they call it Dual Hybrid Noise Canceling Technology – which combines an analog and a digital filter with a feedback and a feedforward microphone.

They also claim that four microphones will provide better speech quality on calls, and the sound quality is taken care of by two 40mm drivers, each with its own Acoustic Control Chamber, which controls the airflow for better bass response and feeling of space.

The headphones also have film-polymer capacitors of the same quality as Technics uses in the amplifiers, and they support High-Resolution Audio Quality via Bluetooth – and LDAC which provides up to 96 kHz / 24 bit via Bluetooth.

Another clever detail is the ability to switch between two calls. For example, you can talk to someone in a web meeting, and press the call button to switch to mobile calling.

Here you also get noise reduction with listening with Attention Mode, and Natural Ambient Mode which lets through some of the sounds outside in addition to full noise reduction.

Battery life is stated at 50 hours, with music, and 30 hours of speech.
